The ingenuity of College and University students continues to amaze me again and again. So, what have the kids at Dordt College in Iowa done that is unique? Well, how about a mural completely created from Post-It Notes! After 6 days since it was put up “The Man” (Dordt College Authorities) took it down. Boo!

Doug Savage, who draws the funny Savage Chicken we’ve featured on Neatorama before did an amazing stop-motion animation for a music video contest.
He decided to enter a music video contest for Laura Veirs, even though he only had 12 days until the deadline and no prior animation experience.
After 500 chicken drawings (equal to his entire comic output over the past two years!), a sore arm, callused finger, and an injured back from leaning over the tripod so much, Doug submitted this great stop-motion animation.
Very cool! Check it out here: Link [embedded YouTube]

Meet Rich Hall [wiki], a comedian and writer who was the inspiration for Moe Szyslak, the barman from The Simpsons:
He said he has always thought the cartoon landlord - who is obsessed with Homer’s wife Marge - was rather like him.
"I suspected that Moe was based on me because I used to write with George Meyer back when he was one of the original writers on the show," he said. "Matt Groening was a fan of my stuff. Other people said: "You look and sound just like Moe".
"Then Matt confirmed it. It’s an honour, once you get over the shock of seeing yourself as a horrible, yellow caricature."

Here are 10 things you may not know about our favorite video game character Mario:
Mario was first seen in the video game Donkey Kong, but he was called "Jumpman." He was also a carpenter then, not a plumber.
Mario was named after Mario Segale, the landlord of Nintendo of America’s office, who barged in on a company meeting demanding an overdue rent.
Shigeru Miyamoto drew Mario as wearing a cap because he found drawing hair difficult. He also drew in the moustache, because it was easier to see than a mouth in the crude video game screen resolution back then.
Mario and his younger brother Luigi are known as the "Mario Brothers." This means that Mario’s last name is also Mario, so his full name is Mario Mario.
Mario is voice-acted by Charles Martinet, who crashed the audition for "an Italian plumber from Brooklyn" character. Here’s an interview with the man:

That’s Bertie the Pipebot, a character drawn by Australian painter and comic book artist Ashley Wood. Ashley is producing a 14-inch tall version of his trademark robot, made by Bigshot Toyworks, an independent toy design studio.
Amazingly, Bertie is articulated down to his fingertips!
